August is a quieter one on the surface, but there is a lot moving underneath. We are two weeks out from onboarding two new clients, a luxury watch brand and a female led brand, and we have already been out on the first shoot with the watch brand. Here is what has been going on behind the scenes at Nugent Marketing.
2 new clients onboarding in two weeks, a luxury watch brand and a female led brand
First shoot with the watch brand already in the bag
Every existing client account stayed on track, nothing dropped
Systems and internal processes tightened behind the scenes
The Full Story
This month looks a bit different to July. No flood of new faces, no long list of headlines, just two really good bits of news. In about two weeks we start onboarding two new clients, a luxury watch brand and a female led brand, both exactly the kind of partner we look for: a strong story, real personality, and an audience worth building for properly. We will share more the second we are able to.
We could not wait for onboarding to actually kick off with the watch brand, so we got straight into a first shoot together. Some behind the scenes shots are below, our kit packed and ready to go, and a first look at the pieces themselves. More footage from the day is on its way through editing.
Outside of that, August has mostly been about keeping the engine running. Every existing client stayed on track, content kept moving, and nothing slipped through the cracks. Sometimes the best update is that everything is simply working the way it should.
We have also used the quieter stretch to tighten a few things behind the scenes, our systems, our processes, the way work moves between the team. It is not glamorous, but it is exactly what lets us take on two new clients at once without dropping quality anywhere else.
More to come once onboarding is properly underway for both.

Beyond Our Own News
A few general marketing shifts we're noticing across every client account this month, not just ours.
Completion rate used to be the metric that mattered most. TikTok is now weighting rewatches even higher, content people watch two or three times gets pushed much further than content people simply finish once. Hooks and payoffs that reward a second look matter more than ever.
Instagram is leaning harder into saves and DM shares as its top distribution signal. A post someone saves for later or sends to a friend is doing more for reach right now than one they simply scroll past.
Cross-posting the same clip straight from TikTok onto Instagram, watermark and all, is getting punished harder than ever. Platforms want native, unbranded uploads. A small edit, a real difference in how far content travels.
The brands seeing the biggest growth right now are publishing across three to five platforms, not betting everything on one algorithm. Relying on a single platform is starting to look like the riskier strategy.
None of this changes our approach, if anything it backs it up. Native, platform specific content that gives people a reason to watch again or save for later is exactly what we have always pushed for. Good to see the data catching up.
Not every month needs fireworks. Some of the best ones are the quiet ones, where everything just works and you are getting ready for something good. That is exactly where we are right now.
